Don't rats only live in cities?
Nope. Rats live in cities and suburbs, and Long Island is experiencing a dramatic growth of rat populations.
My house is clean, will I get rats?
Rats look for food and shelter when choosing a habitat, and they may invade your home or business while doing so. As rats are reliant on humans for providing food and shelter, they can live anywhere people live.
Can I use a mouse/rat trap to catch them?
You may successfully catch rodents with traps purchased at your local hardware store, but rodents can be difficult to fully eradicate. Catching one or two will provide some relief, but it's important to find out where they are coming from, and eliminate their sources of food and shelter.
Are rats dangerous?
Yes! Rats can cause costly damage to your home or structure while attempting to create a habitat. Also, rats can carry diseases and other pests like fleas or mites, creating significant health issues.
